David Stocker studied classical guitar performance at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, where he completed his Bachelor of Music degree in 1998. In Mesa, Arizona he performed and taught privately until taking a position at the Arizona School for the Arts (ASA) in Phoenix, where he developed the school's classical guitar curriculum. While serving as ASA's Guitar Program Coordinator, he regularly visited other middle and high school guitar classes as a guest instructor. In 2003, Mr. Stocker moved to his hometown of Midlothian, Virginia, where he now lives with his wife and two sons. He continues to pursue his interest in expanding the resources and repertoire available to secondary school and college level ensembles.
